Rep. Rob Bishop is a lifelong Utah resident and an active member of the Republican Party for more than 30 years. Before being elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 2002, Bishop served 16 years in the Utah State legislature.
From 1974 to 2002 he taught high school government, U.S. history, debate and German. A member of the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Bishop spent two years in Germany on a church mission.
