Reid Hukari had two goals as FC Tucson defeated the Southern California Seahorses 4-2 in La Mirada, Calif., on Wednesday night.
Tucson's semipro soccer club, which locked up a playoff spot with Sunday's draw at home, jumped ahead quickly Wednesday. Hukari scored in the second minute, and Reid Schmitt made it 2-0 in the sixth minute.
After the Seahorses pulled one back in the ninth, Hukari scored again in the 31st minute, and FC Tucson added a fourth later in the half.
FC Tucson's slim chances of taking the USL Premier Development League's Southwest Division title ended Wednesday when Ventura County beat the Pali Blues to wrap up the championship. FC Tucson, which ends the regular season at Orange County Blue Star on Friday, will face a Northwest Division foe to be determined.

LeBron collects three trophies at ESPYs
LOS ANGELES - LeBron James was the big winner at the ESPY Awards on Wednesday night, collecting three trophies including male athlete of the year for helping the Miami Heat win the NBA championship.
James wasn't on hand for the 20th annual show celebrating the year's best athletes and moments in sports. He was in Las Vegas with the rest of the U.S. national team preparing for the London Olympics. James also won in the championship performance and NBA player categories. He shared in the best team award, with Juwan Howard and Mike Miller accepting for the Heat.
Baylor basketball star Brittney Griner won two trophies, including female athlete of the year.

Badgers' Rosales commits to SDSU
Tucson High School offensive lineman Antonio Rosales gave a verbal commitment to San Diego State University this week. The offer from the Aztecs was the only one Rosales received, but Idaho and Boise State were also showing interest. Badgers coach Justin Argraves said Rosales is the first Tucson High player to earn a Division I scholarship since Tremaine Cox in 2000.
• Sean Hogan was officially hired as coach of the Arizona Wildcat hockey team for the 2012-2013 season. One of the first moves after the the restructuring of the UA's Campus Recreation Sports Program was to make Hogan a university employee. The Wildcats finished 13-18-3 last season under Hogan.
• Former players Mike Modano, who won a Stanley Cup with the Dallas Stars, and Eddie Olczyk, who won one with the New York Rangers, and New Jersey's longtime general manager Lou Lamoriello were named Wednesday to this year's induction class of the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame.
• Suspended NASCAR driver A.J. Allmendinger said Wednesday he tested positive for a stimulant and was collecting his medicines and supplements in an attempt to figure out what got him in trouble.
