UA freshman Kenzie Fowler pitched her first career no-hitter Wednesday night, and the Wildcats swept New Mexico State with two shutouts.

Fowler (11-0) struck out five and walked four in the first game, an 8-0 victory shortened to five innings.

A two-out, two-run homer by sophomore Lini Koria in the bottom of the fifth gave the Wildcats the eight-run margin needed for victory via the mercy rule.

Arizona won the second game 9-0 in five innings.

Freshman Brigette Del Ponte hit a three-run homer in the third inning of each game.

Sarah Akamine tossed a two-hitter in the second game.
