A three-game sweep against Stanford bought the Arizona Wildcats a sense of agreement from the two college softball polls released today, and earned their best pitcher national accolades.

The UA (35-7) is ranked third in both, moving up one slot in the USA Today/National Fastpitch Coaches Association poll and staying put in the USA Softball/ESPN.com rankings.

Washington (35-4) is tops in both.

Freshman pitcher Kenzie Fowler, who threw two complete-game victories and won the third in relief, was named USA Softball CollegiatePlayer of the Week today, one day after winning conference accolades. At 5-4 in conference play, the Wildcats are third in the Pac-10, trailing the Huskies and Oregon Ducks.

The UA hosts bottom-dwelling Oregon State (21-21, 2-7) in a three-game series that starts Friday.
