After winning two of three against No. 5 Arizona State last week, the Arizona Wildcats received eight votes in today's ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25.

That wasn't enough to crack the top 25 — the UA was the third-highest "also receiving votes" team — but it returned the Wildcats to the conversation after an unexpected near-sweep of the Sun Devils, who remained at No. 5.

Oklahoma held on to No. 1, though Oregon received one first-place vote.

The UA ends the season with a three-game series at No. 13 Stanford starting Thursday. The Wildcats will learn their NCAA tournament fate Sunday.
