Max Alvarez had a goal and helped set up two others as FC Tucson ran its winning streak to seven with a 3-0 victory over the Ogden Outlaws in Utah on Thursday night.

The win put FC Tucson back in first place in the USL Premier Development League's Southwest Division. Tucson has 18 points.

FC Tucson (7-1-0 overall, 6-1-0 USL PDL) has not allowed a league goal in more than a month. Its scoreless string has reached 546 minutes.

Phillipe Garre, starting in place of Dom Papa at forward, scored the opener in the 11th minute. A corner by Alvarez was flicked on by James Cohn and Garre tapped it past the keeper.

Tucson doubled the lead in the last minute of the half when Travis Campbell scored on a ball from Alvarez.

Alvarez converted a penalty in the 79th for the final score.

Alvarez's "service was unbelievable," coach Rick Schantz said in a phone interview. "It was like watching (Lionel) Messi."
