Trap shooter Josh Richmond will compete in the London Olympics this summer, a three-week stretch that will certainly be the most exciting and stressful time of his life.

His next trip will be, in many ways, the result of his last one.

As a member of the United States Army Marksmanship Unit, Richmond spent three months in Afghanistan last fall teaching local soldiers target-shooting.

While overseas, the 27-year-old Pennsylvanian said he received both a crash-course in his craft and a lesson about perspective.

Read more about Richmond and the local shooters in Saturday's Arizona Daily Star.
