Tucsonan Bernard Lagat placed fourth in the men's 5,000 meters this afternoon at the London Olympics.

Known for his kick, Lagat was the top American in the race and appeared to get tripped in the final 100 meters. He ran 13 minutes, 42.99 seconds.

The winner was Great Britain's Mo Farrah. He ran 13:41.66, followed by Dejen Gebremeskel of Ethiopia (13:41.98) and Kenya's Thomas Pkemei Longosiwa (13:41.36).
