Speedy softball star Caitlin Lowe won 2 NCAA titles, Olympics silver medal

• Olympics: 2008, Beijing

• Local connection: Played outfield for the University of Arizona softball team from 2004 to 2007.

• Known for: The speedy leadoff hitter, UA's career steals leader, was part of the 2008 USA softball team that took silver. She led Arizona to national titles in 2006 and 2007 and was an All-American all four years.

• Current: Lowe hosts Triple Threat softball clinics with fellow former Olympians Monica Abbott and Kelly Kretschman. Lowe also plays professionally for the USSSA Pride.
