23 Days Away: Ex-Wildcat Marc Davis made Olympic finals of 3,000 steeplechase

• Olympics: 1996, Atlanta

• Local connection: Attended the University of Arizona from 1989 to 1992

• Known for: Made it to the final in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in the 1996 Games. Won a national championship in 5,000-meter run in 1989 and another in 1992 in the steeplechase. Was inducted into the University of Arizona Sports Hall of Fame in 1997.

• Current: Davis now works as a coach for runners through his program Lap2Go.
