No. 5 Peoria Centennial (11-1) vs. No. 1 Salpointe Catholic (12-1)

Prediction: SAL 30, CENT 27

Where: Amphitheater High School: 125 W. Yavapai Road

Series record: First meeting

Fast fact: Centennial is trying to reach its fifth state championship game since 2006 and capture its fourth title in that span.

CENT player to watch: Senior QB Tre'von Grant. He has passed for 1,863 yards, 28 touchdowns and just five interceptions. He's also added 397 yards on the ground and four scores.

SAL player to watch: Senior DE Austin Sene. The senior has 44 tackles and leads the Lancers with 10 sacks. He's looking for his first sack of the postseason and will try to put some heat on Grant.

No. 3 Ironwood Ridge (11-1) vs. No. 2 Tempe Marcos de Niza (11-1)

Prediction: IR 29, MDN 27

Where: Gilbert Campo Verde High School: 3870 S. Quartz St., Gilbert

Series record: IR leads 2-0.

Fast fact: I-Ridge topped Marcos de Niza 35-27 earlier this season and 34-20 in the 2011 regular season.

IR player to watch: Senior WR/LB Jake Matthews. The senior has been a reliable force all season for the Nighthawks and had a team-high 11 tackles in the win over the Padres in September. He's also a difference maker on offense with 28 catches and four TDs.

MDN player to watch: Senior WR Paul Elvira. The Arizona Wildcats commit had 169 yards and two touchdowns against I-Ridge. He has had more than 100 yards in nine of his 12 games and has 1,410 yards and 18 TDs this season.

Division III, Saturday

No. 14 Nogales (10-2) vs. No. 2 Queen Creek (12-0)

Prediction: QC 27, NOG 21

Where: Gilbert Campo Verde High School: 3870 S. Quartz St., Gilbert

Series record: First meeting

Fast fact: This is Nogales' first appearance in the semifinals and just the fourth time the Apaches have advanced past the first round.

NOG player to watch: Senior WR/S Nick Colgate. He has 11 interceptions this season, including two last week in the quarterfinals. He also had a 15-tackle game in the first round against Sabino.

QC player to watch: Junior RB Matt Guida. He has rushed for at least 102 yards in every game this season and has gone for more than 200 yards six times. He has 479 yards and five touchdowns in two postseason games so far.
