At CDO, the celebration for homecoming night got an early start and never stopped. The Dorados (6-1) relieved their star quarterback Jordan Closs-Lopez midway through the fourth quarter with a 35-point cushion and managed to score 14 more by the end of the game for their fourth straight win.

J.J. Metz capped a dominant first half for CDO and gave the Dorados a 21-point lead.

•  Player of the game: Closs-Lopez. The Dorado concluded his senior homecoming performance with a pair of touchdown passes. He has 12 this season.

•  By the numbers: 21. The number of points the Dorados scored off turnovers as CDO’s defense forced three fumbles.

•  He said it: “We love running the ball, we love pounding the rock
