High school boys basketball: Rio Rico-Safford game postponed because of weather

Tonight's first-round Division III state tournament boys basketball game at Rio Rico has been postponed.

The 15th-seeded Hawks were set to host No. 18 Safford att 7 p.m. but due to poor weather and school being cancelled because of it, the game was moved to Wednesday at 7 p.m.

In other Division III action, local teams such as No. 22 Empire and No. 17 Benson are still on schedule for their first-round games at Thatcher and Show Low, respectively.
