Former Arizona Wildcat Jim Furyk has some work to do on the back nine if he wants to top Bubba Watson in the second round of the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship at The Golf Club at Dove Mountain.

Furyk, who beat fellow American Ryan Moore in the first round, was down three shots to Watson after 10 holes. When they made the turn a little after noon, Watson was up two, and then won the 10th.

Watson, the 2012 Masters champion, jumped out to an early lead, winning two of the first five holes.

The winner of that match will face the winner of the Jason Day-Russell Henley match tomorrow in the third round. Henley, a rookie from the University of Georgia, led Day by one after eight holes.

The defending champion, Hunter Mahan, is locked in a tight battle with South African Richard Sterne. The two were all squared after seven.

The final pairing of the day-Webb Simpson and Peter Hanson-teed off at 12:20 p.m. Matches started on time at 9:20 a.m., and today should be the first day of competition with no delays for bad weather.
