Hunter Mahan is one win away from joining rare company.

Mahan, the defending WGC-Accenture Match Play Champion, topped Ian Poulter 4 and 3 in the semifinals this morning to advance to this afternoon's championship match. There, he'll look to become just the second golfer ever to win back-to-back Match Play titles.

The only other to do it was Tiger Woods in 2003 and 2004.

Mahan will face fellow American Matt Kuchar in the finals, which starts at 12:20 p.m. Kuchar topped Jason Day 4 and 3 to advance to his first-ever Match Play final.

"I think there's plenty of adrenaline to get me through 18 holes," Kuchar said after beating Day. "I'm excited to have a chance back at Hunter. He's a fantastic player, fantastic ball striker."
