At Palo Verde, the Titans (10-1) struggled to find a rhythm on offense in the first half but came up with a fumble recovery at their 13 yard-line and were tied 13-all with Buckeye (5-6) at halftime.

• Highlight reel: Palo Verde QB Ernesto Espinoza faked a hand-off and hid the football by his thigh for two seconds before throwing to receiver Erik Estrada, who caught the 45-yard pass.

• Player of the game: All-purpose player Adam Hall of Palo Verde put his stamp on the game in the first two possessions of the second half by scoring on two similar sweep passes from around 10yards, but his two brutal tackles on the Hawks' first second-half possession ignited his team.

• He said it: "We didn't come out very focused, and they put it to us. We've gotta come back." — Titans head coach Todd Mayfield
