At Tucson, despite a solid second half by the Badgers, the Nighthawks' dominant first half was too much to overcome. The Nighthawks were sparked by three Anthony Braunreiter TDs in the first half, and they moved to 3-0.

• Highlight reel: Ironwood Ridge linebacker Jake Matthews scooped an errant backward pass by Tucson and ran it in 30 yards for a touchdown.

• Player of the game: Ironwood Ridge's Braunreiter led the team with 104 total yards of offense and four rushing touchdowns.

• By the numbers: 9. Combined turnovers for both teams (five by Tucson, four by Ironwood Ridge).

• He said it: "We came out on fire in the first half, and we had a sloppy second half, but we'll get better as the season goes on." - I-Ridge running back Braunreiter
