Matt Scott is fast learning that the NFL is a 12-month-a-year- job.

The former Arizona Wildcats quarterback participated in the program’s pro day Thursday at Kindall/Sancet Stadium — the latest step in his quest to be selected in next month’s NFL draft.

“The first thing was the East-West Shrine Game. The next step was to get ready for the (NFL) combine,” Scott said. “And the next step after that was to come here and show what I can do.”

Scott said he had a strong day at the workout, which — for the first time — was closed to reporters. He attempted 85 passes with 20 or so NFL teams watching.
