Wildcats' Lyons on Naismith list, more TV complications and other items

Mark Lyons was named one of 50 players on the Naismith Award's preseason watch list, though teammate Solomon Hill was not.

UCLA's Shabazz Muhammad and Kyle Anderson, as well as Colorado's Andre Roberson, also were named to the list (the full list is linked here).

A caution for out-of-state fans who have received past FSN-televised games through a Comcast regional sports network: You probably won't get any of UA's FSN games this season, after Comcast dropped FSN content over the summer.

That includes Thursday's UA-UTEP game as well as these: Jan. 19 at ASU, Feb. 23 vs. WSU, and March 9 vs ASU (note there are far fewer games on FSN this season because of the Pac-12's new media rights deals, where the "locally televised" games that would have otherwise been on FSNA are generally now on Pac-12 Networks).

Thanks to D.C.-based UA grad Richard Rose for bringing this to my attention. He's among the affected.

Forgot to post this last week but Tucsonexpat (aka Todd Surovell of Wyoming) did some analysis of the UA offense by comparing UA's two exhibition games to the two the Wildcats had last year.
