Clearly, with five wins in their past six games, Colorado has moved past that controversial Jan. 3 game with Arizona.

But it took some time. The Buffs scored just three points in overtime against UA after Sabatino Chen’s would-be game winner was waved off, and then they lost three of their next four games.

But neither Sean Miller nor Colorado coach Tad Boyle was convinced there was any residual effect.

“Everybody points to the Arizona loss as a hangover,” Boyle said. “Whether it was or wasn’t doesn’t matter. But we have put it behind us and moved forward. We’re playing really well.”

Said Miller:

“It’s a long season and I don’t know if our game had anything to do with their games after ours. Every team has those peaks and valleys over the long course of a season. There are times you feel you’re playing your best and times when you struggle. And in those times you try to get back to where you were.”
