Rondae Jefferson is coming back to Arizona this weekend for a closer look.

Jefferson's coach at Chester (Pa.) High School, Larry Yarbray, said today that the highly regarded forward will visit UA officially this weekend along with his mother. Jefferson will presumably take in Saturday's UA-Oklahoma State football game.

He visited two weeks ago briefly while en route to the Elite 24 all-star game in Los Angeles, but the program and campus were quieter at that time.

Yarbray said Jefferson also plans to visit Florida and Texas, his other top choices, while Jefferson has indicated he may not announce his decision until his birthday on Jan. 3.

"His first visit is going to be Arizona," Yarbray said. "That's the first one who called and that's where he's going."

Richmond (Calif.) wing Jabari Bird made it official: He'll stay near home to play for Cal, becoming one of Mike Montgomery's top recruits yet since he took over in Berkeley.
