Now that Jason Gonzalez has been arraigned, the criminal complaint for the suspect in connection with the shooting of Kevin Parrom is public record (and my news story on it can be found here). There are a few differences between what the NYPD initially said and what the complaint now says.

-- The charges against Gonzalez were upgraded to include attempted murder. Police had said he was charged with assault, burglary, and criminal possession of a weapon.

-- Probably the most significant basketball news was the statement that Parrom was shot once above his right knee. Police initially said Parrom was shot behind the right knee.

-- Parrom told police he did not give permission for the defendant and another man (who has not been apprehended) to enter his apartment. He said both men kicked open his bedroom door, with the defendant pointing a firearm at him and pulling the trigger "several times."

-- Police said Parrom told them he was hit once and that the wound caused "bleeding and substantial pain as well as annoyance, alarm and fear for his physical safety."

-- Other charges against Gonzalez included assault, burglary, being menacing, trespass and harassment.

UA has not said what condition Parrom is in, only that he is rehabilitating. Sean Miller said in a statement last week that more will be known in a month.

--

No UA players made the Wooden Award's 50-man preseason watch list, but Andy Katz put Kyle Fogg and Josiah Turner on his own list of guys who could pop up on its midseason update. The only Pac-12 representatives are from Cal (Jorge Gutierrez, Allen Crabbe) and UCLA (Josh Smith, Reeves Nelson).

The Wildcats will also face one other player on the list, forward Elias Harris of Gonzaga.
