Tonight's Tucson Padres game with Colorado Springs has been postponed because the Sky Sox are stuck in Las Vegas with weather delays today.

Padres spokesman Tim Hagerty said the game will be made up as part of a doubleheader beginning at 5:30 p.m. Friday. Both games will be seven innings.

The Padres and Sky Sox will next play Thursday at 7:05 p.m., and the series will continue through Sunday.

The Sky Sox played at Salt Lake City on Tuesday and were routed through Las Vegas earlier today. Since the lightning and flood delays prevented them from reaching Tucson until about 10 p.m., the game was called off.

The San Diego Padres called up left-hander Andrew Werner earlier today, and sent right-hander Brad Boxberger to Tucson. San Diego also designated outfielder Jeremy Hermida for assignment, since Werner was added to the 40-man roster.
