The Rose Bowl will be aired on ESPN through 2026, the network said today in a statement, solidifying the home of the game whose future will include a national championship semifinal in certain years.

The Pasadena, Calif., game agreed to a 12-year extension that begins in 2015. Each year, the game will air at 2 p.m. Pacific Standard Time on Jan. 1, unless the day is a Sunday, in which case it will move to Jan. 2.

ESPN will air the game even when it is the national semifinal in the playoff structure agreed to earlier this week.
