After more than a year of planning, the Pac-12 Networks launched tonight with “Pac-12 Live,” a studio show that showcased football and Olympic sports around the league.
The conference-owned networks feature one national station and six regionals, including Pac-12 Arizona, which will focus on the Wildcats and Sun Devils.
In Tucson, the Cox Communications high-definition feed did not air the first minutes of "Pac-12 Live," though the standard-definition feed did. The high-definition feed was activated around 9 p.m.
The networks, which announced the hiring of former Colorado wideout Jeremy Bloom as a football analyst Tuesday, will air 35 football games, 143 men’s basketball games and 850 sporting events this season.
Also Tuesday, the league changed its web site address from www.pac-12.org to www.pac-12.com.
