Ironwood Ridge, the lone Southern Arizona volleyball team left in the Division I or II state brackets, will host Glendale Deer Valley tonight at 7 in the Division II quarterfinals.

If the Nighthawks can pull off the win, they would play again on Saturday in Phoenix in the semifinals. Coach Bill Lang's squad would either play top-seeded Flagstaff or No. 9 Paradise Valley.

Paradise Valley knocked off Catalina Foothills in three sets in the first round.

Ironwood Ridge beat Cienega 3-1 in the opening round to advance. The Nighthawks and Bobcats were the only two local teams to win a set in D1 and D2. Tucson, Rincon/University, Canyon del Oro, Foothills and Salpointe Catholic all lost in straight sets.

The only other volleyball match on the schedule tonight is Tanque Verde and Scottsdale Christian in the opening round of the Division IV state tournament in Prescott Valley.
