Salpointe Catholic's Cameron Denson was honored by the Arizona Cardinals this week as their high school player of the week.

Denson, a receiver playing quarterback because of an injury to starter Andrew Cota, rushed for 239 yards on 16 carries and added 129 passing yards in the team's game against Mountain View. All total, he scored four touchdowns in the 40-10 win over the Mountain Lions.

He is the first player from Southern Arizona to be honored by the Cardinals this season.

The dynamic playmaker already has scholarship offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Oklahoma, Notre Dame, Oregon State and Utah. His stock continues to rise this season with strong play.
