The Arizona Wildcats started their bye week with some good news: Another defensive reinforcement is coming.

Brandon Golson, a linebacker from Georgia Military College, verbally committed to the UA this morning, according to numerous recruiting services.

Golson's commitment is a coup for Arizona's coaches. The 6-foot-3-inch, 221-pounder verballed to South Carolina out of high school, and was set to commit to the Gamecocks again before choosing Arizona.

The junior college standout picked the Wildcats over offers from the Gamecocks, Kansas, Kansas State and Middle Tennessee State. He enrolled at Louisville in January 2011, but left before playing a down. Golson should have two years of eligibility remaining by the time he arrives at Arizona.

The Scout.com recruiting service lists Golson as a three-star player. You can watch many of his junior college highlights by clicking here.
