Arizona Wildcats senior Richard Morrison was named the Pac-12 Conference's special teams player of the week today, two days after springing a 63-yard punt return for a touchdown in the UA's blowout win over Washington.
Morrision's return and score gave the UA a four-touchdown lead in the third quarter. The Wildcats added another score in the fourth, and went on to win 52-17.
USC quarterback Matt Barkley and Stanford linebacker Chase Thomas won the Pac-12 offensive and defensive awards, respectively.
Arizona (4-3 overall, 1-3 Pac-12) will host conference power USC this weekend.
