Arizona's coaches have named running back Ka'Deem Carey, safety Jared Tevis and placekicker John Bonano the team players of the week for their efforts in Saturday's 59-38 upset win over Oklahoma State.
Carey rushed for 126 yards and scored a career-high four touchdowns — three on the ground, and one through the air — on the way to the win. Carey's 273 rushing yards so far this season rank second in the Pac-12.
Tevis had nine tackles and intercepted two passes. His second pick came in the fourth quarter, and helped the Wildcats pull away.
Bonano overcame a shoddy Week 1 to post arguably the best game of his college career. He connected on field goals from 22, 46 and 24 yards and was perfect on all six PAT attempts. Bonano missed two field goals against Toledo last week, including one that would have won the game in regulation.
Three scout-teamers — quarterback Nick Isham, defensive lineman Christian Upshaw and safety Keahi Hogan — were also cited by coaches for their contributions last week.
The UA will try to improve to 3-0 next week, when it faces South Carolina State in a nonconference game.
