Wide receiver Dan Buckner and cornerback Cortez Johnson will likely miss the Arizona Wildcats' homecoming game against Utah with a separated shoulder and concussion, respectively, while safety Robert Golden and cornerback Shaquille Richardson are questionable to play because of other injuries.
Interim coach Tim Kish broke the news at today's weekly press conference in McKale Center.
Buckner separated his shoulder in the second half of Saturday's 42-31 loss to Washington at Husky Stadium. He left Seattle with his arm in a sling. Johnson, a true freshman making his first career start, suffered his second concussion of the season and is likely out. Team trainers will re-evaluate Johnson later today, but the prognosis looks grim.
Golden provided the night's biggest highlight, a 91-yard interception return for a touchdown, but was forced from game due to dehydration. He received an IV drip in the fourth quarter, and did not return.
Richardson's injury was more unexpected: Kish said the Wildcats' cornerback suffered a high ankle sprain in practice late last week, and is questionable to play against Utah. Richardson was suspended for last weekend's game against the Huskies for his role in a midfield brawl with UCLA on Oct. 20.
Nickel back Jourdon Grandon will move to cornerback for Richardson, while freshman Tra'Mayne Bondurant - who played both defensive back and linebacker against the Huskies - will move to nickel.
