Second-seeded Desert Christian fell to Scottsdale Prep 55-49 in the Division IV state quarterfinals Thursday night.

Desert Christian (27-7) held a four-point lead heading into the fourth quarter at Tim's Toyota Center in Prescott Valley, but the Spartans scored 17 points in the final eight minutes on the way to the upset.

Senior guard Michael Shew led the Eagles' offense with 17 points, and Ben Brandon added 14.

Matt Munsil scored a team-high 15 points for the seventh-seeded Spartans. Scottsdale Prep will face Arizona Lutheran in today's semifinals.
