The Arizona Wildcats will try to snap a four-game conference losing streak today, when they take on Washington State at McKale Center. Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m.
It has been a rough few weeks for Arizona. The Wildcats (11-9 overall, 3-6 Pac-12) lost at Colorado by 43 points on Jan. 20, and have since endured double-digit losses at the hands of USC, UCLA and Washington.
Friday's 74-65 loss to the Huskies came with even more bad news: Senior guard Davellyn Whyte had to be helped into the locker room after suffering a sprained ankle in the second half. She eventually returned, but was slowed by the injury the rest of the way.
WSU (7-13, 3-6) is coming off a 54-43 upset win over Arizona State in Tempe. Lia Galdeira scored a career-high 20 points for the Cougars, who led by 10 at halftime and held on late.
