SEATTLE - In her final game with the Arizona Wildcats, senior Davellyn Whyte led the team with 23 points, eight rebounds and six assists, but Arizona lost to Utah on Thursday in the first round of the Pac-12 tournament.

The sixth-seeded Utes beat the 11th-seeded Cats 66-48 and will play third-seeded UCLA today. Arizona's season ended.

Michelle Plouffe led Utah (18-12) with 24 points and nine rebounds. She had five three-pointers against Arizona (12-18).

Whyte finished her career at UA with 2,059 points, second on the school's career list - only Adia Barnes had more (2,237) - and 4,244 minutes, tops on the UA career list.

But Thursday wasn't a time for celebration.

"Obviously, this is a tough loss," Arizona coach Niya Butts said. "This was the third time playing Utah this year (Arizona won the first two), and they were able to get the best of us."

The season barely over, Butts turned her attention to next year.

"We just have to go back to the drawing board."
