Despite cutting a 22-point second-half deficit to five with 52 seconds left, the Arizona women's basketball team lost to Washington 76-65 in Seattle on Sunday.

A three-pointer by UA's Kama Griffitts cut the lead to 70-65 before UW's Kristi Kingma sank two free throws. UA's Davellyn Whyte missed two FT's with 0:25 left, and the the Huskies (10-3, 2-0 Pac-12) made four more foul shots to seal the win.

The Cats (9-4, 1-1) trailed 56-34 with 14:13 left after UW went on an 19-3 run to open the second half. But the Cats rallied behind Whyte, who scored 12 of her 17 points in the second half.

"If we played the whole game like we played the last 12 minutes ... we win," UA coach Niya Butts said.
