After the Arizona Wildcats successfully managed to navigate a web of ESPN production workers, portable spotlights and a donut-and-pie-laced hospitality table just to reach the Olson Court floor for practice Friday, they barely avoided another obstacle.
Just minutes before, ESPN GameDay crew was being filmed inside the north baseline at McKale Center, rendering that part of the court all but useless.
Fortunately for the Wildcats, who will host Washington today at the conclusion of ESPN’s first “GameDay” production at McKale Center, that podium was cleared off to the side before players returned from watching films to start practice.
Whether the distraction was fully cleared away remains uncertain.
