LOS ANGELES — UCLA forward Travis Wear and win Shabazz Muhammad are both expected to play Saturday night against the Arizona Wildcats, Bruins coach Ben Howland said this afternoon.
Wear, a power forward, sprained his right foot Feb. 23 and missed two games. He participated in a walkthrough today, though, and "moved well," Howland said.
"I would say he's probable for giving it a go," Howland said.
Muhammad, who suffered a sprained left ankle in Wednesday's overtime win against Arizona State, "swelled up a little more" than the Bruins thought he would, Howland said. He moved "gingerly" in practice.
"He will play," Howland said.
Muhammad is one of two major candidates for Pac-12 Freshman of the Year, averaging 18.3 points.
Wear is third on the team with 11.6 points.
Howland said both will start against the UA.
