Shabazz Muhammad, the UCLA wing who scored 27 points in a 97-94 overtime victory against then-No. 7 Missouri on Friday, was named the Pac-12 Men's Basketball Player of the Week today.

The freshman — considered one of the nation's best recruits before being forced to sit earlier this season while the NCAA investigated his financial ties — has scored in double figures in all 10 games he's played this year. Five times, he's reached 20 or more.

He starred against the Tigers, making 10 of 19 shot attempts and 3 of 6 three-pointers, to give the Bruins their first win against a top-10 nonconference team in more than five years.

UCLA opens conference play against Cal on Thursday.

The Arizona Wildcats nominated Solomon Hill, though played only one game this past week.
