SEATTLE - Gennifer Brandon had 17 points and 16 rebounds Friday, and No. 5 California scored the first 11 points in a 78-59 victory over USC in the quarterfinals of the Pac-12 Conference tourney.

• No. 4 Stanford 79, Washington State 60: Chiney Ogwumike had a double-double by halftime and finished with 23 points and 21 rebounds.

• No. 14 UCLA 54, Utah 43: Jasmine Dixon and Atonye Nyingifa both scored 11 points, and the Bruins held off Utah's second-half rally.
