Tucson's Travis Buck hit a three-run, inside-the-park home run in the seventh-inning to lead the Padres to a 6-1 victory over host Salt Lake on Sunday.
Salt Lake's Trent Oeltjen crashed into the center field wall on Buck's deep fly ball, and Buck scored before right fielder Matt Young could get the ball and make a play at the plate.
The homer was Buck's fourth of the year, but the first inside-the-park homer in Padres history.
Tucson starter Robbie Erlin (3-0) scattered two hits over five innings and struck out three without a walk.
The Padres scored first on Brandon Allen's opposite-field solo homer to lead off the second inning. He gave the Padres a 2-0 lead in the sixth inning when he scored on Gregorio Petit's sacrifice fly to right field.
The Bees scored their only run when Roberto Lopez homered off Tucson's Wilfredo Boscan in the seventh inning. Jonathan Galvez scored Tucson's final run in the eighth on Jaff Decker's single.
