Matt Jackson, who has yet to allow a run in his two Triple-A starts, threw seven shutout innings Monday night in the Tucson Padres' 6-2 victory at Fresno.
Jackson (2-0) allowed four hits, struck out four and had no walks.
Tucson gave him an early 5-0 lead, the first three runs coming in the second inning on two-out RBI singles by Daniel Robertson and Anthony Contreras and an error.
Jedd Gyorko added a pinch-hit homer in the eighth for Tucson.
