At Sabino's homecoming, the Sabercats (9-0) took care of business, pounding the Amphi Panthers (1-8) and posting their fifth shutout of the season.

• Highlight reel: On a busted play, Sabino senior Jordan Hughes shook off at least five tacklers to hit Andres Lewis for a 12-yard TD pass, helping give the Sabercats a 28-0 halftime lead.

• Player of the game: Jordan Hughes came up big for the Sabercats on the ground, with five carries for 47 yards and two touchdowns.

• By the numbers: 1: Sabino had to punt the ball only once.
