At San Manuel, Pusch Ridge (5-4) overcame the loss of three fumbles to hold on for the win over the Miners (6-3). The only thing working for Pusch Ridge offensively was its ground game, racking up 235 yards and two TDs.

• Highlight reel: RB Taylor Fitzgerald took a handoff in the fourth quarter, cut back across the field and scored from 58 yards.

• Player of the game: Fitzgerald. He finished with 123 yards rushing and one TD.

• By the numbers: minus-4. San Manuel RB John Ruiz was averaging 132.3 rushing yards per game coming into Friday, but the Lions locked him up, holding him to minus-4 rushing yards.

• He said it: "If we can beat Rio Rico on Friday, I think we'll be in the hunt for playoffs." - Pusch Ridge coach Troy Cropp.
