The Arizona Wildcats have returned home following a soggy trip to Southern California. San Jose State awaits them.

The UA will take on the Spartans tonight in the first of a three-game series at Hi Corbett Field. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m.

The Wildcats (4-1) are coming off a two-game road split at Long Beach State. The Dirtbags took the first game, a Tuesday night affair that was suspended because of inclement weather and concluded Wednesday. The Wildcats won the second game 3-2.

Five games is a small sample size for statistics, but a handful of Wildcats are off to hot starts. Infielder Brandon Dixon is hitting a team-high .467 with five RBIs and 10 total bases. Newcomer Ryan Koziol is hitting .400 with a team-high .700 slugging percentage.

The UA will call on right-hander Konner Wade to start tonight's game. The 2012 College World Series star threw 6 1/3 shutout innings in last week's win over Coppin State.
