Arizona Wildcats right-hander James Farris limited San Francisco to six hits and two runs over eight innings in a 5-2 victory at Hi Corbett Field on Saturday.

No. 10 Arizona (10-2) scored four runs in the first inning. Riley Moore doubled in a run, and Trent Gilbert plated two more with a triple before Kevin Newman's RBI single.

After laboring through the first three innings, Farris (3-0) pitched solidly over the next five. In one stretch, he retired 10 straight.

The teams wrap up the series today at noon.
