Arizona baseball and softball: No. 10 Cats rout San Jose State, score 10 runs in first 2 innings beat Cats

The 10th-ranked Arizona Wildcats' baseball team cranked out 14 hits and pounded San Jose State 15-4 Saturday at Hi Corbett Field.

The Cats scored three in the first inning and seven in the second and cruised home comfortably.

Junior right-hander James Farris got the win.

No. 14 Arizona dropped its game Saturday to 11th-ranked LSU 3-0 despite giving up only three hits in Palm Springs, Calif..

The Cats' record fell to 10-5. They beat Loyola Marymount 5-3 Friday.
