Casimir Kocot, a wealthy citizen of Newark, N. J., is in Tucson actively looking into the advantages on Tucson as a place to build a brewery and distribute the product throughout the southwestern United States and the West Coast of Mexico.
In company with Phil Brannen, Mr. Kocot spent the day Thursday meeting local people to get their ideas. Today he is having analyses made of the city water, since the chemical composition of the water and its freedom from organic matter is an important consideration in brewing.
Friends of Mr. Kocot state if he decides to establish a brewery, it will be with his own capital and that he has no intention of attempting to finance the project locally.
