That Tucson is in immediate need of presentable appearing apartment houses, renting at moderate prices and in which each family can do light housekeeping, was the sentiment of the directors of the chamber of commerce at the meeting held Tuesday evening. The board decided to take such action as seems best to interest either local people or outsiders in such an enterprise.

As if in answer to the call of the directors, George L. Robinson, a prosperous wheat farmer of Sackatoon, Canada, announced Wednesday that he is looking over the city and is thinking strongly of building an apartment house, if it appears that it will be a paying enterprise, as he believes it will. He got his idea from the Riverside Inn, at Riverside, Cal., which was built on a sectional plan, apartments being added as they were needed.
