In this difficult budget year, our city of Tucson should be
focusing on the priorities of public safety, transportation and
parks as well as crisis services for women, children and seniors
who are not adequately covered by state and federal dollars.
As elected officials serving the city of Tucson and Pima County,
we work hard to meet the needs of our distinct constituencies. But
as our community continues to grow, it becomes apparent that
certain issues cross jurisdictional lines and can only be resolved
with a regional vision.
Water conservation will always be needed in Tucson. With Arizona
sitting at the bottom of the Colorado River and our city located at
