Haughty Germany due for dose of humility after E. coli strain is traced to its own sprouts
A farm in the Lower Saxony region of Germany has been identified as the source of bean sprouts like these that were contaminated with E. coli bacteria, killing 30 people and sickening thousands more. Although no contaminated sprouts were found, the outbreak pattern led to the farm.
